Mitsubishi offers a savvier Eclipse Cross GLS EXCEED

As far as SUVs go, Mitsubishi has been in the game long enough to have established itself in the segment. You mention 'Pajero' and most will know what you're referring to. A very capable and reliable SUV. A few years ago the brand introduced the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SUV, which in 2023 has received an addition to its range with an array of updates.
The Eclipse Cross's design isn't your run-of-the-mill shape - it can't afford to be when faced with the competition it contends with. It's unique, an important attribute in the crowded segment it plays in. It combines a sporty design with a coupé shape, and the latest version looks more appealing than the initial offering when the model first entered the market. Of course, the front has traces of Mitsubishi's current design language, while the body now has colour-coded bumpers and mirrors. A panoramic tilt and slide sunroof has also been added and comes with a UV protective coating.

Under the Eclipse Cross's bonnet resides one of the two vetted motors, depending on the model variant. There's a 2.0 MIVEC DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder, good for 110kW and 198Nm. In the range-topping, 2023 Eclipse Cross GLS Exceed you'll find the brand's latest four-cylinder motor, a 1.5-litre, boasting 110kW and 250Nm. The brand says that this motor is extremely efficient, although our homework revealed an average fuel consumption figure of 7.7l/100km, which isn't outstanding.
Beneath the sheet metal, Mitsubishi has layered its GLS EXCEED variant with up-to-date tech and safety. For starters, you get a Brake Assist System, Hill Start Assist, as well as Active Yaw Control. All standard with Isofix Child Seat anchors. Features like a keyless system, rearview camera and Blind Spot warning have also been added to the 2023 Eclipse GLS Exceed.
